These charts shows the weekly reported age-adjusted mortality using the European Standard Population 2013 for Germany and its states over time.

Mortality is deaths per 100,000 residents. Death numbers and yearly population data is from the German Federal Statistical Office (Destatis.de). Age-adjustment is calculated by using the European Standard Population 2013. The baseline is calculated as the pre-pandemic average of 2015-2019 adjusted for the linear trend (10y linear regression). The figures are suitable for comparison between states, as they do normalize for differences in age structure, using the (European Standard Population 2013) age table.
