All-Cause Mortality (Age-Adjusted)

These charts shows the weekly reported age-adjusted mortality for Germany and its states over time.

Mortality is deaths per 100,000 residents. Death numbers and yearly population data is from the German Federal Statistical Office (Destatis.de). Age-adjustment is calculated by using each states latest age distribution to adjust the past years. The baseline is calculated as the pre-pandemic average of 2015-2019 adjusted for the linear trend (10y linear regression). The figures, are not suitable for comparison between states, as they do not normalize for differences in age structure.
